The event, officially opened by Governor Abdullahi Sule on 20 April in Lafia, will see Africa’s leading conglomerate serve as major sponsor. This year’s theme is: Unlocking Industrial Synergy: Deepening the Value Chain and Driving Inclusive Growth in Nasarawa State.

According to a statement from group spokesman Anthony Chiejina, several strategic business units will participate, including Dangote Cement, Dangote Sugar, Dangote Salt and seasonings, Dangote SinoTruk, Dangote Packaging, and Dangote Fertiliser.

Regional Director and Senior Adviser to the Group President, Fatima Wali Abdurrahman, said Nasarawa State remains central to Dangote’s African investment strategy. “It is home to Dangote’s Nasarawa Sugar Company Limited. The sugar project, when completed, will be one of the biggest sugar investments in Africa,” she noted.

Mrs Wali-Abdurrahman added that the trade fair offers a valuable platform to engage stakeholders and interested Nigerians, with a dedicated help desk available for inquiries.

Speaking to journalists in Lafia, Nidan Sambo Manasseh, chairman of the Nigeria Association of Small-Scale Industrialists (NASSI), Nasarawa State chapter, said the fair’s theme aligns closely with Aliko Dangote’s vision. “His focus on industrialisation, local production, and value creation inspires our efforts to connect MSMEs to structured value chains,” he said.

He described the third edition of the Nasarawa Trade Fair and Exhibition as a practical business and human capital development platform, highlighting the Empowerment Skill Acquisition Programme (ESAP), a mobile training initiative targeting 2,000 beneficiaries across the state’s 13 local government areas.

“Our strategy,” Mr Manasseh added, “is to align local enterprise development with large-scale industrial systems.”
