The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has graduated 111 officers from its Special Forces Course 13/2026, a move designed to significantly enhance the service’s capacity to support ongoing air and joint military operations across the country.

In a statement issued on Sunday, NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, confirmed that the graduation ceremony took place at the Regiment Training Centre Annex in Bauchi. The programme, he noted, was an intensive and demanding regimen tailored to produce highly skilled, combat-ready, and mission-oriented operators capable of addressing Nigeria’s evolving security challenges.

Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, represented by Chief of Training, Air Vice Marshal Ahmed Dari, congratulated the personnel on completing one of the force’s most rigorous courses. He urged the newly graduated officers to uphold the utmost professionalism, discipline, and courage in their duties, emphasising that a fighting force’s strength lies not merely in its equipment but in the quality and determination of its personnel.

“You are now part of an elite cadre entrusted with critical responsibilities in safeguarding our nation. Serve with honour, remain mission-focused, and let your actions reflect the values of the Nigerian Air Force,” the CAS stated.

He further explained that the comprehensive training had equipped the graduates with specialist knowledge, tactical skills, and operational resilience essential for undertaking special forces missions in complex and dynamic environments. Throughout the course, trainees endured demanding physical, mental, and tactical exercises designed to sharpen leadership, teamwork, adaptability, and mission effectiveness in support of air and joint operations.

The graduation underscores the NAF’s sustained commitment to building a robust and agile special operations capability in response to contemporary security threats.
