In a move aimed at strengthening grassroots participation and promoting inclusive governance, the Executive Chairman of Zangon Kataf Local Government Area, Engr. Bege Joseph Gaiya, has announced the appointment of 26 new aides across various sectors and wards within the council.

The appointments, disclosed in a statement by the Special Assistant on Media, Publicity, and Strategic Communications, Jimmy Sheddy Jat, said the appointment was part of the chairman’s strategic drive to enhance representation and improve service delivery across the local government.

“These appointments reflect our unwavering commitment to inclusive leadership and community engagement,” Gaiya said.

“Every ward and sector deserves a voice in the governance process, and this is a step toward achieving that goal.”

Those appointed include:

Kenneth Bitrus Yakubu – Special Assistant, Christian Religious Matters

Thaddeus Hassan – Special Assistant, Support Group 1

Ndan Joshua – Special Assistant on Agric Plant and Animal Science

Suleiman Babylon Katoh – Personal Assistant, Ungwan Rimi Ward

Danladi Cheto – Personal Assistant, Madakiya Ward

Patrick Bala – Personal Assistant, Ungwan Gaya Ward

Bala Nchat Gora – Special Assistant, Voters Education and Sensitization

Lydia Lekwot – Personal Assistant, Zonkwa Ward

Nana Ariyak – Special Assistant, Women Affairs

Kelvin Umaru – Assistant, Print Media

Barnabas Dogon Yaro – Special Assistant, Youth Mobilization

Bitrus Manzo – Personal Assistant, Kamantan Ward

Noel John – Special Assistant, Voters Education 2

Evelyn Samuel – Special Assistant, PHC, Clinics, and Health Matters

Benard Williams – Special Assistant, Special Duties 2

Gaiya urged the new appointees to approach their roles with diligence, integrity, and a service-driven mindset. He also reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to build a responsive and participatory local government that truly reflects the aspirations of the people.
