The Zamfara West Students Association (ZWSA) has commended the former governor of Zamfara State, Bello Matawalle, for his transformative efforts in advancing education and modern infrastructure within the state.
In a statement released by the association’s spokesperson, Comrade Ibrahim Bello Mafara, the group praised Matawalle’s commitment to fostering a conducive learning environment and empowering students with tools to thrive in an increasingly competitive world.
“Among his many achievements, the construction of the Government Day Secondary School in Maradun is a beacon of hope for the youth of Zamfara,” the statement read.
“It symbolizes his unwavering belief in the transformative power of knowledge.”
Matawalle, who is now Nigeria’s Minister of State for Defence, made education a cornerstone of his administration.
His tenure saw significant investments in modern infrastructure and improved access to quality education, which ZWSA says laid a strong foundation for the state’s future development.
The association called on current leaders to build upon Matawalle’s legacy to ensure sustained progress in education and infrastructure.
“His Excellency’s leadership reminds us that true development begins with investment in human capital,” ZWSA emphasized.
“His impact is a testament to what is possible when leaders prioritize education as a tool for empowerment and progress.”
The ZWSA urged Nigerians to emulate Matawalle’s visionary leadership, highlighting the importance of education as a catalyst for national growth and prosperity.
