The All Progressives Congress (APC) Defense Coalition for the 2023 general election has called on the Executive Governor of Zamfara State, Lawal Dauda, to focus on governance and not fight the immediate past Governor,
The group also disclosed that Bello left about N2.5 billion in the State coffers saying the State under Bello’s administration has managed assets and securities to ensure stability in the overall interest of the state.
The group also said that Dauda’s claim that the immediate past administration did not leave anything in the state coffers as an attempt to discredit the former Governor.
Addressing journalists during a press conference in Abuja yesterday, the national chairman of the coalition, Dr Shuaibu Suleiman Shinkafi and Coalition national secretary, Comrade Anas Abdullahi Kaura, said the claims by Governor Dauda are misleading.

“For the record, I will State categorically that governor Matawalle left behind the total sum of N20,579,349.20. and $1,977,000 in the state treasuries.
“The four years rule of Matawalle as a governor of Zamfara State has triggered smokes of developmental stride in every aspect of life cutting across the health sector, education, infrastructural development, job creation as well as humanitarian and Human empowerment”.
Speaking on the allegation of removal of furnitures and electronics in the government house, the Coalition said: “Before Matawalle became a governor, he was a house of representatives member for 12 years and we don’t think he can bring himself so low to cart away with Television, Gas cooker, all these allegations are an attempt to spoil his name.”
