Ayodeji Balogun, known worldwide as Wizkid, has made headlines with his recent announcement of an extended hiatus from the music scene.

In a series of Instagram posts, the Afrobeat sensation revealed his plans to step away from music for four to five years and explore new avenues, including football and golf.

Wizkid’s decision to take a break from music is not entirely new. In 2019, he hinted at a similar move, declaring, “Gone till March! Thank you,” via his X account.

However, this time, the break seems more extended, raising questions about what’s next for the superstar.

During his break, Wizkid has expressed his interest in football and golf. He playfully wrote, “Back in 4 years, make una papa chop him money small or maybe five or I fit still go dey play ball now.

Or make I start dey play golf. fifa or wrestling b*tch!” While his statement may be lighthearted, it sparks curiosity about his potential involvement in sports.

Wizkid’s hiatus undoubtedly leaves fans eager for his return. However, it’s essential to understand that artists often take breaks to recharge their creative energies and explore other passions.

This period might bring forth a reinvigorated Wizkid, ready to produce more captivating music in the future.
