Ex BBNaija star Phyna has shared her reservations about dating single fathers, due to complications that may arise from the child’s mother being part of the man’s life.
She made the revelation in the latest episode of her ‘Spill With Phyna’ podcast.
She revealed that she would only consider a relationship with a single father if the child’s mother was already married to someone else.
“I am not sure I can date a guy that has a child. I’ve met two guys who have children, these are my friends, and I’ve seen the drama around it. I’ve seen situations where the baby mama will come and be like, ‘who are you now leaving me for?” Phyna said during the podcast.
Phyna voiced concerns about potential “baby mama drama,” emphasizing that she had witnessed cases where the child’s mother became a source of conflict and problems for the man involved.
She pointed out the stress and chaos that can arise in such situations, particularly if the baby mama is resistant to the idea of the man moving on with his life.
“Even if the men don’t like you, even if they don’t want to settle down with you, the baby mama just doesn’t want them to move on,” Phyna added.
Meanwhile the reality star has reacted to rumours she is dating 17-year-old singer, Khaid.Phyna and Khaid sparked relationship rumours after sharing their cozy picture on social media.
She was criticized because of the age difference between her and the singer.
However, speaking in her Spill With Phyna podcast, Phyna bemoaned the hypocrisy of society, questioning the disparity between men and women when it comes to choosing younger partners.
She said, “Me and this boy take picture; Khaid. He is young and the picture, I posted it. He posted it as well. Omo, if you see the dragging, ‘Oh Phyna, is this boy you’re dating now?’, ‘Oh Phyna is 30-year-old, this boy is 10 years old.’
“It was so terrible that I was now wondering that in this country we have ladies who are married to way older men. So, I want to know the difference between being a younger man and being a younger girl. Why can’t we have the same balance, I thought they said age is just a number?”
