We Will Give Jobs To All  4,500 J-Teach Staff – Says Governor Namadi

Jigawa state governor Malam Umar Namadi has assured the 4,500 temporary teachers known as ( J-Teach) that, the state government will not disenfranchised any one of them from getting employment but insisted on aptitude test.

The governor stated this while fielding question from newsmen on the protest against aptitude test stage by the J- Teach staff.

He noted that, the recruitment J- teach to permanent teachers is designed to be done in phases, and in the first Phase they want absorb 3,000″

” To ensure justice for all, instead of making random selection, we organized this aptitude test for selecting the 3,000 out of the 4,500, and those who did not scale through now will continue to work as J-Teach before next round of recruitment” “.

“This aptitude test is necessary to ensure only qualified candidates are recruited, and those who can’t catch-up we have other plans for them including vocational training and empowerment ”

The governor added that, the new date for the aptitude test will be announced, but assured that , no single candidate will be recruited outside J-Teach.

Over the weekend a protest by thousands of temporary teachers under the program known as J-Teach in the state had stall the conduct of aptitude test organized by State Universal Basic Education for the recruitment of 6,000 teachers.

The candidates had protest and interrupted the organized aptitude test on alleged plan by some self centered officials to introduce impunity in the recruitment process as against the instruction given by the state governor Malam Umar Namadi.
