Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has officially announced the suspension of his independent bid for the presidency of the United States, declaring his support for Donald Trump.

Despite stepping back from a full withdrawal, Kennedy confirmed he would remain on the ballot in specific states where his presence would not disrupt the electoral race.

At 70 years old, Kennedy, who has been a Democrat for most of his life and hails from the influential Kennedy family, expressed his disillusionment with his campaign, stating, “In my heart, I no longer believe I have a realistic path to victory in the face of systematic censorship.”

This announcement follows intense speculation regarding his possible endorsement of Trump.

Kennedy’s campaign has been marked by his controversial views on vaccines and various unconventional narratives, which have drawn mixed reactions. His support in the polls has significantly decreased from previously promising figures as financial backing and media coverage dwindled.

During a press conference, Kennedy shared insights about the electoral landscape. He indicated that his continued presence on the ballot in crucial battleground states could inadvertently favor the Democrats. “If you’re in a blue state, you can vote for me without affecting President Trump or Vice-President Harris, and the same applies to red states,” he remarked. He encouraged voters to consider his candidacy, suggesting that a scenario where neither major party candidate secures 270 electoral votes is a distinct possibility.

Kennedy pointed out that he is willing to withdraw his name from ten states where his candidacy might act as a spoiler for Trump’s campaign. Before fully aligning with Trump, Kennedy expressed a desire to engage in similar dialogues with Vice-President Harris.

This surprising endorsement could have significant implications for the upcoming US presidential election, as Kennedy seeks to navigate his role in this evolving political landscape.
