Kwoi, Kaduna State – Governor Uba Sani has shattered a two-decade infrastructural jinx in Jaba Local Government Area with the commissioning of five township roads in Kwoi, the council headquarters.

Last Tuesday, the governor inaugurated Audu Tilo Road, Sabon Gari Road, Doctor Sani Road, Hospital Road, Kpop Ham Palace Road, and the strategic Kwoi-Gora Road – a decisive move that redeems a pledge made during the groundbreaking ceremony in September.

“By the grace of God, we have returned to redeem that pledge,” Mr Sani declared. “Nothing strengthens the bond between a government and its people more than promises fulfilled.”

Lamenting the area’s historical neglect, he stated: “For over 20 years, Jaba LGA did not witness a single kilometre of completed road construction. Such imbalance was inconsistent with the principles of fairness, equity, and justice upon which enduring development must rest.”

The Kaduna helmsman revealed that his administration has initiated 150 road projects spanning over 1,355 kilometres across all 23 LGAs, with the vast majority already completed. He reiterated that his governance philosophy is rooted in equitable resource allocation, free from the constraints of geography, politics, or identity.

The newly constructed roads are poised to revitalise economic and social life in the Jaba community, improving mobility, facilitating access to schools and healthcare, and easing the transportation of agricultural goods for farmers and traders.

Reflecting on the Kwoi-Gora Road, the governor recalled its notoriety for hardship, particularly during rainy seasons when erosion and poor conditions isolated communities and inflated transport costs. “Today, that difficult chapter has been replaced by new opportunities,” he added, citing enhanced emergency response, agricultural logistics, and broader investment prospects across the LGA.

Mr Sani affirmed his administration’s resolve to ensure that no community is excluded from the dividends of democracy, framing the projects as enduring symbols of a government committed to fairness and tangible progress.
