TUK HAM Celebrates Six Years Breaks,Calls for Collaboration

After six years of break’s, Tuk Ham set to celebrate it’s Ham Day, this this is in conjunction with several activities, starting from 25th of March to 30th , 2024 in Kwain which is popularly know as “Kwoi”.

Chairman of the Tuk Ham Organizing Committee , Tuk Ham, Ambassador (Dr) Bulus Lolo while addressing media at the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Kaduna state Council on Friday 16th February, 2024. Said, the festive is to show case the natural heritage of the Tuk Ham Kingdom.

The Ham Festival took on a new format in 2018, in terms of content and structure, but as in his year 2024, it will be of a different activities comprising free medical outreach, symposium, football tournament, beauty pageant, talent hunt, , among others

Ambassador Lolo further explain the unique of Tuk Ham day, ” it is a unique in many respects , even though the people have a common ancestry, they always offered a beautiful Mosaic in the variety of there music and dqnces.

” This uniqueness leads a special character to the Ham Festival and services as a great attraction to a mix of audience and participants, investors, local polulance and many more from within and outside Nigeria who coverage during the events.

He added that, the Ham Festival is a crowd puller and offers ample opportunity to promote business and common commercial activities.

The committee therefore call on all stakeholders in the State to partner and collaborate with the Ham Kingdom to promote culture and tradition in the state.

Other activities of the celebration include prayers to be offered by Ham indigene both Christian’s and Muslims, as Ham in various form of worship at churches on Sunday and mosque on Friday, as the tradition of the Ham to give thanks to God for a wonderful harvest and a preparation towards the coming farming season.
