The three deceased officers, along with the two who were injured, were transported to a local hospital, where the injured officers were reported to be in critical but stable condition.

Reports from local media suggest that the officers were attempting to execute a search warrant when the shooting took place.

Colonel Paris confirmed that the shooter was killed by police. The identity of the suspect has not been released, and authorities have not yet disclosed the specific law enforcement agencies to which the officers were affiliated.

Governor Josh Shapiro visited the hospital to honor the fallen officers, expressing, “This is an absolutely tragic and devastating day for York County and the entire Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.” He urged the community to pray for the victims’ families.
