President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to embark on his inaugural official visit to Enugu State on Saturday, where he will formally inaugurate several projects initiated by the administration of Governor Peter Mbah.
The announcement was made by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, in a statement released on Friday in Enugu.
Onyia expressed, “The Enugu State Government is pleased to announce the first official visit by the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, on Saturday, January 4, 2025.”
During his visit, the President will inaugurate a range of significant projects, including 30 fully completed and equipped Enugu Smart Green Schools out of a total of 260 currently under construction across the state.
Additional projects set for inauguration include 60 completed and equipped Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres, also part of the 260 being built in each of the state’s wards, as well as the newly completed multi-auditorium and multi-functional Enugu International Conference Centre.
Furthermore, the President will unveil 90 completed urban roads within Enugu City, a state-of-the-art Command and Control Centre, and 150 patrol vehicles that are equipped with AI-embedded surveillance systems.
Onyia noted that President Tinubu will also inaugurate several completed rural roads during his one-day visit.
