Stephanie Coker has opened up about her battle with suicidal thoughts following a failed in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment.

IVF is a procedure where eggs are taken out from the female body, mixed with sperm in a lab for fertilisation, and put directly into the woman’s uterus.

Coker had previously revealed that she conceived her first child through IVF in 2019.

In a recent interview with the media entrepreneur Chude Jideonwo, the media personality said she attempted IVF again to fulfil her daughter’s wish for a sibling but it failed.

Coker added that the failed procedure made her entertain suicidal thoughts because she felt the child rejected her.

“I got pregnant and had my first child on the first IVF but the second one failed,” she said.

“I wanted to stand in front of a car and let the car hit me.

“My daughter wants a sibling. I am not getting back on that flight with no baby.

“I called my friend and told her I did not think the child liked me. It did not stay.”

In an earlier chat with TheCable, Coker disclosed her struggle with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS).

She said the condition made conception challenging for her and also affected her mood, energy levels, and overall well-being.
