The selection process considered the top-performing male and female students from each school.

In institutions exclusive to boys or girls, the two highest-scoring students were chosen.

The Marshall Katung Foundation extends full scholarships to the top 50 candidates with the highest JAMB scores, 25 each from science/engineering and arts/social sciences.

This scholarship encompasses the entire duration of their university studies, fostering academic pursuits.

Mrs. Abigail Marshall-Katung, recently elected as the 130th Lord Mayor of Leeds and the first person of African descent to hold this prestigious title, emphasizes that the scholarship aims to reward diligence, excellence, and foster healthy competition within communities.

Honourable Abigail Katung expresses gratitude to the 8 Local Government Education Desk Officers whose dedication contributed to the success of this impactful initiative.
