This was disclosed in a statement in Kaduna by Mr Katung’s media aide, Midat Joseph.

Mr Joseph said the gesture reflected the senator’s continued commitment to promoting education and fostering development in Southern Kaduna.

Receiving the vehicles on behalf of the university’s management, the vice-chancellor, Williams Barnabas, commended the senator for his generosity and sustained support.

He said, “I am highly elated to receive this generous donation from Distinguished Sen. Sunday Katung.

“It will go a long way in addressing some of the fundamental challenges we face, particularly in the area of logistics.”

Mr Barnabas added that the senator had shown remarkable commitment to the university’s growth, stating that his contributions had significantly advanced its development.

“On behalf of the council, management, staff and students of the university, we express our sincere gratitude and pray that God continues to uplift him in all his endeavours,” Mr Barnabas added.

The university was established following the passage of a bill sponsored by Mr Katung, which was later signed into law by President Bola Tinubu.
