In response to the timeline for passing the bill, Adaramodu stated, “If immediately after Sallah, the Bill is brought by Mr President to the National Assembly, it’s going to be dealt with swiftly.”

He further emphasized that the bill will undergo thorough scrutiny and processing without any delays, as it is crucial for the well-being of Nigerian workers.

Adaramodu expressed confidence in reaching a consensus among all stakeholders, including the federal government, sub-nationals, and the organized private sector, regarding the disparities in wage proposals.

He stressed the importance of a comprehensive and enforceable bill that will be adhered to by all parties involved.

Additionally, Adaramodu called upon the Nigeria Labour Congress to extend their advocacy for workers beyond the federal level and ensure compliance with the minimum wage in all sectors.

He reaffirmed the Senate’s commitment to safeguarding the welfare of Nigerian workers and emphasized that any non-compliance with the minimum wage law will face appropriate sanctions.

Adaramodu urged all stakeholders to collaborate in the successful implementation of the new minimum wage, fostering an environment that prioritizes the well-being of Nigerian workers.
