In a statement issued to journalists on April 7, 2025, Yangye expressed deep appreciation for the outpouring of support from friends, associates, and citizens across political affiliations.

He, however, reaffirmed that his immediate focus remains on his duties as Chief of Staff to Senator Katung, who represents Kaduna South Senatorial District.

Yangye also stressed that Senator Katung, along with other elected leaders from the zone, remains fully committed to delivering on their current mandates. He added that none of them are sponsoring or endorsing any perceived political ambitions at this time.
