The Save Nigeria Group USA has reaffirmed its commitment to advocating for the safety, dignity, and freedom of Nigerians, following a high-level engagement with US policymakers. The group’s president, Stephen Osemwegie, attended a hearing at the US Capitol Hill, convened by the US Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF), focusing on religious freedom violations in Nigeria.

Osemwegie held discussions with Congressman Riley Moore, who reaffirmed his commitment to defending religious freedom and protecting vulnerable communities in Nigeria. The group also met with USCIRF leadership, emphasizing the need for continued US attention on Nigeria and protecting religious freedom.

Save Nigeria Group USA is expanding efforts to support aid delivery to displaced persons, partner with grassroots organizations, and amplify survivor voices globally. The group plans to launch a global engagement outreach project, engaging with communities in the US, Canada, UK, Europe, and Africa.

“We will not give up on Nigeria,” Osemwegie said, emphasizing the group’s mission to end insecurity, mass displacement, and religious freedom violations in Nigeria. The group’s vision is a Nigeria where everyone is safe, with freedom of religion, conscience, and living without fear.

The group’s advocacy efforts come as millions of Nigerians suffer from violence, displacement, and kidnappings, with extremist groups like Boko Haram and ISWAP operating in the country. Save Nigeria Group USA is committed to holding leaders accountable and promoting collective action to save Nigeria.
