As the joyous occasion of Sallah is marked across Nigeria, Hon. Mustapha Danladi Babaladi, the Vice Chairman of Jaba Local Government Area (LGA) in Kaduna State, has extended his heartfelt Sallah greetings to the entire Muslim community. His message of peace and appreciation highlights the significance of unity and religious harmony during this sacred period.
Sallah, also known as Eid al-Adha, holds profound spiritual and communal importance for Muslims around the world. Hon. Babaladi recognises the festival as a moment of reflection, devotion, and kindness. In his message, he expressed deep gratitude to Muslim brothers and sisters in Jaba LGA, Kaduna State, and Nigeria at large, acknowledging their contributions to the community’s growth and development.
In his Sallah address, Hon. Babaladi encouraged the Muslim ummah to extend love and compassion not only within their faith but also towards their Christian neighbours. According to him, fostering interfaith understanding and mutual respect is essential for maintaining lasting peace and harmony in Jaba and beyond.
“unity resonates strongly, especially in a diverse region like Kaduna State where religious coexistence is vital, peace is the foundation for sustainable development and that the strength of any community lies in its ability to embrace diversity with tolerance” said Hon. Babaladi.
The Vice Chairman also seized the moment to urge citizens across Jaba and Kaduna State to rally behind the leadership of Governor Uba Sani, Hon. Larai Sylvia Ishaku and the All Progressives Congress (APC). He applauded the government’s efforts towards development, security, and improved infrastructure and called on the people to continue supporting positive policies that will uplift the region.
“The progress we desire cannot happen in isolation. It takes a united community, working hand in hand with a dedicated government, to achieve meaningful development,” he stated.
He emphasized that unity and cooperation between citizens and government officials are critical to achieving long-term progress. Hon. Babaladi believes that by standing behind visionary leadership of Governor. Uba Sani and President Tinubu, the people of Kaduna State and Jaba LGA can witness meaningful change and improved living conditions.
Hon. Babaladi further stressed the importance of compassion, charity, and empathy virtues that are central to the Sallah celebration. He encouraged families to reach out to the less privileged, share meals, and foster a sense of belonging among all members of the society.
He noted that Sallah is deeply rooted in Islamic tradition, its message of love and selflessness transcends religious boundaries. This, he said, is a time to promote unity, offer prayers for peace, and appreciate the blessings of life.
In his closing remarks, Hon. Babaladi reaffirmed his commitment to building a more inclusive and prosperous Jaba Local Government Area. He called on residents to stay committed to peacebuilding and continue working together regardless of religion, ethnicity, or political affiliation.
He acknowledged the efforts of religious leaders, traditional rulers, and community stakeholders who work tirelessly to maintain social cohesion. According to him, collaboration between all segments of society is essential to unlocking the region’s full potential.
