The FCT Squadron Leader and National Coordinator of the Road Traffic and Vehicle Inspection Mayors, Dr. Yusuf John Suberu, led other mayors on April 15, 2024, to formally decorate and induct the Mandate Secretary of the Federal Capital Territory Transportation Secretariat, RT. HON. Barr. Chinedu Eleshi, in his office.

In his induction remarks, Dr. Suberu emphasized that the essence of decorating the Mandate Secretary goes beyond his role as the secretary in charge of transport.

It is done out of recognition for his past positive contributions to traffic volunteerism as a lawyer and two-time lawmaker.

Patriots committed to nation-building, particularly in traffic volunteerism, deserve to be honored and encouraged.

With this induction as a mayor, we are optimistic that Barr. Elechi will, despite his tight schedule, contribute significantly to traffic control, enforcement, and enlightenment in line with traffic volunteerism.

In his response, the Mandate Secretary appreciated the VIO mayors for the gesture and promised to give his best to the success of the activities of the RTO/VIO mayors.

He called for bold initiatives to ensure that traffic-related issues are further enhanced through volunteerism. He assured them of the support and cooperation of the secretariat in all the mayors’ activities.
