They said by the alleged plan, Dekor was plotting to dethrone the traditional ruler of the community, Chief Maxwell Gberesu.

Speaking with newsmen yesterday, Chairman of Kegbara-Dere Council of Chiefs and Elders, Chief Ledor Mene, called on the state government to call the council chairman to order.

Mene stated that setting up a caretaker committee for the could lead to crisis in the fragile community.

He said: “We see it that the local government chairman has in mind digged graves for our youths. We are not willing for him to come to our community to select of appoint Caretaker (Committee) for our community.

“It’s is over one year and plus now, there is no problem in Kegbara-Dere; there is peace. We are moving in oneness and glory. There is no problem.

“We need the state government to tell the local government chairman to remove his hand from Kegbara-Dere community and let Kegbara-Dere live in peace.

“I said the local government chairman is digging graves for our youths because immediately he sets up the caretaker committee in the community, there would be crises. But, we don’t need them; the Community had leaders.”
