The member representing Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Daniel Amos, has condemned the recent killing of residents in Tanda community, Asso Ward of Jema’a Local Government Area, Kaduna State.

In a statement on Monday, Amos described the attack as senseless and barbaric, saying it was a grave assault on human life and the peace efforts of the people in his constituency.

“This heinous act is not only reprehensible but a grave assault on the sanctity of human life and the peace we have all laboured to sustain in our constituency,” the lawmaker said.

He called on security agencies to act swiftly, investigate the incident, and bring those responsible to justice, stressing that the victims’ deaths must not be in vain.

While commiserating with the Gwong Traditional Council, led by the Kpop Gwong, and the bereaved families, Amos appealed to residents to remain calm and avoid any form of reprisal attack.

“Retaliation or reprisal attacks will only worsen our pain and threaten the fragile peace we are striving to maintain,” he cautioned.

The lawmaker reaffirmed his commitment to working with security agencies and community leaders to prevent further violence and sustain peace across the constituency.

“May the souls of the departed rest in peace, and may God comfort their families and our entire constituency in this moment of grief,” he added.
