The Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Arc Musa Dangiwa and Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Housing and Habitat, Abdulmuminu Jibrin appeal to Nigerians to support the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his intentions to provide mass housing to Nigerians.

They both made this separate statement on Tuesday during the commisioning of Express View Estate located in Abuja, Lugbe and a complex in the estate.

The Minister and the lawmaker both appreciated the intention of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and potentials of Nigerians to key into the new policy framework of government.

 

Earlier ,The Managing Director, Federal Housing Authority, Rt Hon Oyetunde Ojo said the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is determined to provide massive housing across the 36 states and FCT, with the commencement of the Housing Estates in seventeen states across the country.

He made this assertion on Tuesday in Abuja during the commissioning of two projects , Express View Estate phase 1,built under the partnerships of the authority, and a shopping complex for the residents of the new estates and Federal Housing Authority Estate in Lugbe, located in Abuja .

The estates lying on the three hectares of land in Lugbe area Abuja contained 50 Units of Houses constructed by BAM construction company occupying 1.5 hectares of the land .

He announced that the Federal Housing Authority under his leadership in the last seventeen months has visited 36 state governors and FCT and appreciated the donation of free hectares of lands by state governors to develop estates in each state of the Federation.

While commending state governors for not politicizing allocation of lands for housing development under the Renewed Hope Agenda to the Federal Housing Authority, said the development was unique, as this will address the clamour of housing deficit, provide mass housing in the country.

He maintained that aside acquisition of land in the states, the FHA under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is poised to provide affordable housing in the country not minding cadre, position or any other consideration, but purely on merit and availability.

He recalled the recent commisioning of Ajoda estate in Ibadan and the ongoing ones , will kickstart more commissioning of projects been executed by the Authority.

According to him , this is line with the strong believe of the Authority not to abandon any of it’s projects in any part of the country.

“Nigeria belongs to all of us , the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development under the Architect Musa Dangiwa,and his team along with Federal Housing Authority FHA, will mobilise under the good intentions of Mr President to provide mass housing for the first time in the country.”

He promised to sustain the ongoing reforms and development in the agency, so as to place it as a digital entity and one stop shop , as well as carry out it’s statutory functions

In his speech, the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Arc Musa Dangiwa promises to continue to take decisions that will provide affordable shelter to all Nigerians

The Minister who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Dr Shuaibu Belgore reiterated the commitment of the new FHA to work in line with the demands of Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to provide achievable shelter the all Nigerians.

He said the Ministry under his administration has launched series of programs across the country capable of providing mass housing to all Nigerians, irrespective of status and stature.

Highlights of the occasion included the commisioning of the new estate and office complex at Lugbe by the Minister, represented by the Permanent Secretary.
