The incident led to the adjournment of the proceedings, prompting concerns and curiosity among those present.

Abbas Balarabe has since explained the cause behind his dramatic collapse.

He clarified that it was a result of sheer exhaustion.

The news of his nomination came to him only the day before, and he had to swiftly travel from Kaduna to attend the screening.

The hours leading up to the event were spent preparing, with a sleepless night leaving him physically drained.

Balarabe expressed gratitude to the Senate for their understanding of the situation, particularly the senators from his home state who rallied around him.

He also praised the medical team that promptly provided care. According to him, their support played a crucial role in his swift recovery.

With the incident behind him, Abbas Balarabe reassured everyone that he is now in good health and that there is no cause for concern.

He emphasized that what he experienced was a consequence of extreme exhaustion, a condition that can affect anyone, especially in high-pressure situations.

His quick recovery and the Senate’s understanding have put the incident to rest, allowing the proceedings to continue smoothly.
