Haj Dr. Rabi Salisu, expressing gratitude for the visit from NCWS, pledged to involve the Association in all Ministry activities. The President of the council, Barr Zainab Hassan, congratulated the Honorable Commissioner on her well-deserved appointment.

Zainab affirmed that the appointment is fitting and highlighted some of their activities since their establishment in 1958. These include supporting and encouraging women’s participation in politics and governance, assisting people with HIV, cancer, and other ailments, and promoting girl child education, among other initiatives.

“The structure of NCWS, from the international level down to states and local government levels, ensures that the Association will wholeheartedly support the Honorable Commissioner in her efforts to guarantee access to social development for women, girls, and youths.”
