In a fervent commitment to advancing democracy, President Bola Tinubu emphasised the pivotal role of quality education for Nigerian children and job creation for youths.
During a meeting with the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives’ Congress (APC) in Lagos, Tinubu endorsed the establishment of the National Institute of Progressive Studies, envisioning it as a hub for comprehensive research and education on democratic principles and good governance.
President Tinubu asserted, “Our democracy, though challenged in the past, holds a promising future.
I am dedicated to fostering a robust and ideologically-driven democracy that is both progressive and inclusive, addressing poverty while ensuring top-notch education for our children.”
In pursuit of this vision, Tinubu highlighted the imperative of collaboration with various government branches.
He lauded the party’s leadership for actively promoting these essential ideals and urged an increased focus on youths and women in the ongoing e-registration and digital membership validation.
He affirmed, “I stand resolute in advancing the progressive ideology of our party, and together, we shall pursue it with unwavering vigour.”
Expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support received during campaigns and the subsequent electoral victory, Tinubu acknowledged the demanding responsibilities of his office.
Despite the Supreme Court’s affirmation of his presidency, he acknowledged the need for increased focus, dedication, and time.
Concerned about the rising number of out-of-school children, Tinubu outlined a multifaceted approach.
He stressed the necessity of establishing more schools, recruiting teachers, and providing daily meals for students, aligning with the party’s progressive ideology.
The National Chairman of the APC, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, assured the President of strategic plans for success in the upcoming bye-elections, affirming, “Under our leadership and with your consent, strategies are in place to secure all available seats in the electoral contest.”
