The President, Kwara All Stars Football Family , Hameed Idrees (SMO), has commended Kwara state Governor, Abdulrasaq Abdulrahman and congratulated the Executive Chairman, Kwara State Sports Commission, Coach Bola Mogaji for attaining a rare feat and achieving greatness after a record breaking milestone with the victory of Kwara United( Harmony Boys) recently in Lagos over 4.-3 win through penalties against the opponent at the tournament .
A statement released to the media on Wednesday stated that the milestone is are not just wins for the athletes or the state by Coach Bolaji Mogaji; they are also proof of visionary leadership and strategic investment in sports , “We are compelled to thank the Kwara state Governor?” Governor Abdulrasaq Abdulrahman, Chairman , Nigeria Governor’s Forum NGF .
The honor brought to the entire kwarans by Coach Bolaji Mogaji had become a rallying point to promote unity , development and celebrations. He stated .
According to Hameed idrees, during his stint and workaholic tenure as the ES, Kwara State Sports Commission, Kwara United has a broken and age long winning record, by winning the first major trophy, the federation cup.
He said the feat achieved by Coach Bolaji Mogaji has also exposed the club to international engagements, first major title and an opportunity as the second to represent the country in the forthcoming season’s Confederation of African Football CAF.
While saluting his courage for matching words with actions , The Executive Chairman encouraged facilitation of payment of outstanding of a whopping sign on fee for Kwara United players that was historic by the state government, as well as great performance of kwara state contingent at national festival at the recent National Sports Festival at Abeokuta.
He said the governors gesture will spur more success story from the club side and encourage not only football participation in Kwara , but sports in its entirety.
