The Presidency has dismissed false claims circulating on social media regarding an arbitration process in Paris involving the Nigerian Government.

In a statement released on Saturday, presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga emphasized that the private nature of the proceedings is confidential and should not have been publicly reported until the international arbitrators reach a decision.

“While we uphold the confidentiality of this proceeding, we want to make it clear that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has not pressured anyone to either testify on behalf of or against Nigeria,” he stated.

“Every distinguished Nigerian participating in the nation’s defense is doing so voluntarily, driven by patriotism and conviction,” he added.
