The pastor of Sokoto Missionary Zone of Christian Evangelical Fellowship of Nations (CEFN), Reverend Adaji Micheal Olobo, Sunday urged Christians to devote time to prayers, saying, effective prayers makes one a commander of possibilities.
Adaji, who spoke
on the theme: Men of Valour; “Standing Strong In Today’s Dynamic World” during the Church’s 2026 Annual Men Day Celebration, insisted that prayers keep ones household in unity and progress.
“Prayers make you a commander of possiblity. The best way to keep your home secured is by prayer. Men of valour are known by effective prayers’.
While stressing that men should trust and have uttermost faith in God for answers to their prayers, Rev. Adaji said, ‘prayers will become noise if there is no result”.
Preaching on the theme of the years programme, Rev. Adaji listed characteristics of Men of Valour to include not only being physically strong, but also having faith in God, having cherished integrity, as well as being ready to take responsibility and having unimaginable confidence.
Rev. Adaji further noted that, being a man of valour in the Christiandom is not a matter of ones status, tithes, offerings or intelligence, rather living a prayerful life, accepting challenges as opportunities to grow the future so that those who look down on you today will look up to you tomorrow when you get to the top.
“Men of valour sees challenges as an opportunity to do better and introduce themselves. Therefore, only foolish men criticises responsibilities as
destinies answers to the valour that is in you.
“The valour in you will help you to end the reproach in your family because nobody can stop you from getting to the top when you don’t like at the size of the problem but the capacity of your mindset and the degree of God you carry inside of you”.
Continuing on the what defines men of valour, Rev. Adaji said they are those who will never compromise their integrity, accept responsibility, and have the fear of God in them always.
Earlier in his welcome remarks, the chairman of men fellowship, Ankeli Emmanuel thanked members for their presence at the begining of the annual programme on Saturday when very crucial topics where discussed extensively.
According to him, the Sokoto State Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Rev. Dr. James Kayode Moses spoke to members on,”The Place Of Open Communication In Sustaining Peaceful Home” while Barrister Jacob Ochidi (SAN) spoke on, “The Husband Your Wife Needs Versus The Husband You Think You Are”.
