The Police Command in Kaduna has begun investigation into a trending video on social media in which four policemen were seen assaulting a civilian.
The Command’s Spokesperson ASP Mansir Hassan, in a statement issued on Tuesday in Kaduna, said that the four personnel were being investigated over alleged professional misconduct.
“The command  has responded to a trending video circulating on social media, showing officers assaulting a civilian in a manner unbecoming of officers,” Hassan said
He said the incident took place in a known black spot in Kaduna South.
He identified the officers in the video as  Insp Ibrahim Daniel, Insp Ezekiel Marcus, Cpl. Isyaku James, and  PC Paul Asha, all attached to the Surveillance Section of Kakuri Area Command.
“They are currently under investigation,” the command’s spokesman said
According to Hassan, CP Ali Dabigi has strongly condemned this act and assured the public that such misconduct would not be tolerated under his leadership.
He has ordered a swift and thorough investigation into the matter to ensure that justice is served and no stone will be left unturned.
“The CP also urges the general public to continue supporting the police by reporting similar incidents,” Hassan said. (NAN
