Police confirm 3 killed in Benue cult clash, arrest 10 suspects

The Police Command in Benue, on Monday, said three persons were killed in a cult clash in Wadata area of Makurdi, the State capital.

The Police Command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Sewuese Anene, confirmed the incident to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Makurdi.

Anene said that rival cult groups clashed in Makurdi, on Monday, killing three persons.

She said that 10 suspects were in police custody in connection with the incident while the command had removed the bodies of the dead to the morgue.

Anene said that the Commissioner of Police, Steve Yabanet, had ordered full investigation into the clash.

She said that normalcy had since returned following the deployment of police personnel to the area. (NAN)
