Following the recent outcome of the annual assessment for 2025 for Ministries, Departments and Agencies MDA’s, including state governments among many others by the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council, PEBEC, The Director General , Princess Zaharah Mustapha Audu has stressed the need not to only to prioritize digital process going forward, but embrace it .

Even though , digitization of it’s activities was not wholly responsible for the outcome of the outgoing year performance and supervision of the MDA’s, state governments activities for the 2025, the need to reduce human interference in its process became germane and in tandem with the current global practices.

Since the world in it’s entirety is going towards technology reinvigoration, innovations and advancement, the need to move beyond analogue assessment and deployment of it’s activities became needful.

With the Princess Zaharah Mustapha Audu led administration’s determination to continue to imbibe transparency and accountability amidst non-compliance by the supervisee organizations and states particularly on quarterly or time to time reports to PEBEC, meant to determine the scores and performance of various bodies year end.

The lackadaisical attitudes and essential non -compliance by various Ministries Departments and Agencies MDA’s as well as state governments form the crux of the ratings carried out by PEBEC in the outgone year of 2025.

But to restore total confidence, avoid needless complaints from Departments, Ministries and Agencies, MDA’s ,the full digitization of all processes arising from annual assessment will be implemented.

It will now be left for MDA’s, state governments to imbibe full compliance, submission of reports and other requirements needed , that will be determinant of further assessments and placements.

With high commendation from Nigerians , organisations, Departments and Ministries on the last assessment, PEBEC promised a more reliable and assessible as well as non -interference of human activities going forward, with the ongoing digitization process for 2026.

The full digitization and technological innovations will promote more foreign direct investment FDI, create an enabling environment for local competition and growth of businesses and other relevant programs going forward.

The ongoing reforms is already is driving impacts to make business in Nigeria easier, transparent, and avoid bureaucratic bottlenecks.

The Zaharah led PEBEC is determined to sustain the simplified processes to digital innovations, creating an environment where businesses can start, grow, and thrive with ease, and ease of doing business, EDB.

The Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDA’s of government and state governments must be alive to their responsibility going forward,as PEBEC will not harbour any sacred cows in it’s process , assessment and judgement.

The supports from these agencies of government by embracing the full digitization process will further guarantee the performance indices been implemented by the federal and state governments.
