The Peoples Democratic Party has denied reports that it held a meeting with the African Democratic Congress, describing the claims as misleading.
In a statement issued April 8, the party said it had not held any formal or informal engagement with the ADC or its representatives.
“The PDP categorically states that no such meeting was convened or authorized by the party,” said Jungudo Haruna Mohammed, the party’s national publicity secretary.
He added that any individuals reported to have attended such meetings did so in their personal capacities and do not represent the party.
The PDP urged its members and the public to disregard the reports, saying they do not reflect its position or activities.
The party also said preparations for its primaries are at an advanced stage, with details on timelines and guidelines to be announced soon.
It reaffirmed its commitment to internal processes and providing leadership to Nigerians.
