The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Jema’a Local Government Area, Hon. Nathaniel Bawa, is calling for the zoning of the party’s State Chairmanship position to the Local Government Area.
In an interview with Journalists, Bawa expressed his appeal, stating, “We believe that it is only fair that the Chairmanship position be zoned to Jema’a as a way of promoting unity and respect within the party.”
Bawa highlighted the marginalization faced by the Jema’a LG chapter of the PDP, despite their significant contributions over the years. He emphasized that Jema’a has never had a working Committee member in the last 21 years, while other LGAs have held top positions.
Discussing the agreement reached during the 2020 Congress, Bawa explained, “The Kaduna South senatorial District caucus agreed that Jema’a should be given the first right of refusal for the next Zonal Chairman position. This decision was recorded in the minutes of the meeting.”
Bawa emphasized the importance of utilizing the caucus position and called on all stakeholders in the zone to support the zoning of the chairmanship seat to Jema’a Local Government Area.
“We have shown unwavering loyalty and support to the PDP, and we are ready to go the extra mile for the party,” Bawa stressed.
This move aims to ensure fairness and foster harmony within the party, while acknowledging the dedication of Jema’a Local Government to the PDP.
