In an endeavour to boost expertise in the realm of geospatial technology, Surveyor-General Abuduganiyu Adeyemi Adebomehin spearheaded the launch of an immersive three-day training initiative centred around Continuously Operating Reference Stations (COR) software.

With a profound emphasis on elevating proficiency levels, the programme delves into the intricate functionalities of COR software, a pivotal instrument in the arsenal of surveyors.

A COR station encompasses a GPS receiver, an antenna, a data logger, and a communication device, facilitating continuous or periodic operations for precise positioning data acquisition.

Surveyor Adeomehin underscored the paramount importance of wholehearted engagement from participating directors, urging them to offer constructive insights to enhance the training experience.

He elucidated on COR’s multifaceted utility, ranging from forecasting weather patterns to serving as an indispensable technical skill imperative to their professional repertoire.
