Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo has taken decisive action by relieving all commissioners and political appointees inherited from the late Rotimi Akeredolu.
The announcement, delivered by Aiyedatiwa’s media aide, Mr Ebenezer Adeniyan in Akure, directs immediate handover of responsibilities to permanent secretaries or the most senior administrative officers in their respective ministries.
In a bid for administrative efficiency, Aiyedatiwa instructs cabinet members to swiftly transfer their duties to either permanent secretaries or the highest-ranking administrative officers within their ministries.
The sweeping changes go beyond the cabinet as even Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants to the governor face termination of their appointments.
This comprehensive reshuffling aims to redefine the political dynamics in Ondo State.
All affected officials receive a clear directive to hand over any government properties in their possession.
This move ensures a seamless transition and sets the stage for a new era in Ondo’s governance.
Amidst the changes, Governor Aiyedatiwa expresses gratitude to the outgoing officials for their services and contributions to Ondo State’s development.
