In a surprising turn of events, supporters of Peter Obi, the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 election, have disclosed that presidential aide Bayo Onanuga is an attack dog who wants Peter Obi Arrested by all means.
Obi supporters are denying allegations made by presidential aide Bayo Onanuga that Obi is behind a planned protest.

The supporters claim that Onanuga’s statement is a setup to have their leader arrested.

Dr. Yunusa Tanko, the spokesman for the group, strongly criticized Onanuga’s accusations, describing them as wild, wicked, and baseless.

“The wild and baseless allegations made by Bayo Onanuga, one of the Spokespersons in the Presidency, accusing Peter Obi of being the mastermind behind a planned protest in the country is deeply unfortunate,” Tanko stated.

Tanko further highlighted that the statement even held Obi responsible for any potential mayhem that may occur during the protest. However, he reassured the public that Obi has never shown any inclination towards violence, even in the face of provocation.

“Peter Obi has always been issue-driven and has never resorted to name-calling or violence, as evident during the electioneering period,” Tanko added.

Tanko also expressed concern over the alleged efforts to silence Obi and prevent him from addressing the Nigerian populace on important issues. He claimed that individuals have been hired to spread falsehoods and distract Obi from his goal of promoting good governance.

“These individuals, driven by their own agenda, are attempting to link Obi to all the problems faced by the current administration, ranging from fuel subsidy issues to growing poverty and inflation,” Tanko explained.

Tanko urged Nigerians to disregard the “cheap blackmail” from the Presidency and assured them that Obi and his supporters are determined to bring about a new Nigeria that is prosperous and resilient.
