As Muslims in Nigeria join their counterparts across the world to commemorate this years eid-el-ftr symbolizing the end of the holy month of Ramadan, the national president of the Nigeria Union of Teachers, Comrade Audu Titus Amba has congratulated Muslims across the country for the spiritual sacrifices,prayers and supplications for the good of mankind and societal peace and development.
Comrade Audu Titus Amba in a sallah message made available to journalists urged Muslims faithful in Nigeria to use the lessons learned during the holy month of Ramadan for spiritual rejuvenation and peaceful transition of power in the country.
He admonished Muslims to rededicate themselves and be resolute towards serving God Almighty and humanity.
Comrade Audu Titus Amba also enjoined Muslims faithful to continue to love one another and live in peace with other religion faithfuls as exemplified by prophet Muhammad(peace be unto him).
The NUT national president who is also the Deputy national president of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) however, enjoined Nigerians to bury their differences and close ranks towards supporting government at all levels in their quest to provide a peaceful and virile society for and political prosperity.
The NUT national president further commented the Nigerian teacher’s over their invaluable sacrifices and commitment to nation building despite the numerous challenges bedevilling them while also reiterating the resolve of the current NUT national leadership to continue with the struggles for the emancipation of Teachers, especially those at the grassroots.
