The Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) has announced its commitment to providing enhanced and compassionate services to subscribers of the Employees’ Compensation Scheme (ECS).

During the opening ceremony of the 2025 Customer Service Week in Abuja, NSITF’s Managing Director, OlĂşwaṣeun Faleye, emphasized the organization’s focus on transforming its operations to ensure timely and empathetic support for subscribers, particularly during challenging times such as workplace accidents or personal loss.

“Subscribers approach us during their most difficult moments—whether due to bereavement or workplace injuries. It is imperative for our staff to respond with urgency, empathy, and a desire to alleviate their distress,” he remarked.

Faleye pointed out that the theme for the 2025 Customer Service Week, “Mission Possible,” serves as both a motivational call to action and a reminder that delivering quality service is attainable with dedication.

“With the right mindset and the necessary support from management, we can provide the exceptional service that Nigerians deserve,” he affirmed.

He further disclosed that various reforms have been implemented to enhance customer relations, including the establishment of a multi-channel system for inquiries, complaints, and user assistance.

To facilitate quicker and more transparent service for ECS subscribers, the NSITF has also streamlined its claims process and documentation requirements.

Faleye highlighted the partnership with SERVICOM as a critical factor in reinforcing the fund’s service charter and enhancing customer engagement nationwide.

“We have conducted an internal reorganization to boost operational efficiency. With SERVICOM’s support, we are making significant strides,” he stated.

As part of the Customer Service Week festivities, activities will feature awareness roadshows and recognition for staff who exemplify excellence in service delivery.

Additionally, Faleye noted that SERVICOM recently awarded the fund a high rating in its 2024/2025 service delivery assessment, recognizing the advancements made under his leadership.

Celebrated globally since 1992, Customer Service Week honors the contributions of service professionals and fosters stronger connections between organizations and their clientele.
