ABUJA — Following successful system maintenance, the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has restored its National Identification Number (NIN) verification services across the nation.

In a statement released on Friday to Vanguard, the Commission confirmed that all disrupted services have resumed.

“NIMC wishes to inform the public that the recent technical maintenance has concluded, and all services are now operational,” stated the release.

Nigerians looking to enrol for a NIN are encouraged to visit the official website to find their nearest enrolment centres. Users can also access the self-service portal for data modifications, including name changes.

Moreover, NIMC recommended that the public download the NIMC NameAuth app (oath.app) from either the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store for NIN verification and authentication.

The Commission thanked the public for their patience and understanding during the brief service interruption.

It should be noted that banks, telecom operators, and various government bodies reliant on NIN verification faced delays and disruptions in their services over the past week.
