The Headquarters of the 6 Brigade Nigerian Army has announced that it will conduct its second Bi-Annual Combined Route March on Friday, August 29, 2025, in Jalingo, Taraba State. The exercise will be carried out in collaboration with other security agencies.
According to Lt. Umar Muhammad, Acting Assistant Director of Army Public Relations, the 15-kilometer route march is a routine military exercise aligned with the Nigerian Army’s Forecast of Events and Training Directive for 2025. The activity aims to enhance troops’ operational readiness, physical fitness, resilience, morale, and overall preparedness for assigned tasks.
Residents of Jalingo are urged to remain calm and continue their normal activities, as the exercise is a standard training procedure. The Nigerian Army assures the public that the march poses no threat to the community.
