NDE Disburse 4.1M Loans to 206 Beneficiaries of Micro Enterprise Scheme in Taraba

The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has disbursed the sum of 4,120,000 to 206 beneficiaries of Micro Enterprise-Enhancement Scheme (MEES) in the state.

Speaking during the disbursement programme in Jalingo on Tuesday, the director-general of the NDE, Mallam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo, represented by the state coordinator, Alhaji Danjuma Shehu, said that each of the 206 beneficiaries got N20,000 each.

According to the state coordinator, he said the participants are expected to have existing businesses and provide projects addresses that can be located with ease by the officers on supervision.

“We will disburse the funds to the beneficiaries using information provided by regards to their respective account number and banks. Each of the successful artisans would receive the sum of twenty thousand naira (N20,000.00) only for the 1,074 persons in the 12 states and FCT” he said.

He further urged beneficiaries to make judicious use of the loans to enable them to make prompt repayment plans, saying that the loans are revolving loans aimed at providing access to others.
