The party announced this in a statement on Tuesday by its national chairman, Moses Cleopas, and secretary, Ikenna Enekweizu.

According to the breakdown, presidential aspirants will pay N20 million for the expression of interest form and N40 million for the nomination form. Governorship aspirants are to pay N10 million and N20 million respectively.

Senatorial aspirants face fees of N3 million and N5 million, while House of Representatives aspirants will pay N2 million and N4 million. For state houses of assembly aspirants, the expression of interest form costs N1 million and the nomination form N1.5 million.

However, the NDC has granted concessions: female aspirants will pay 50 per cent of the prescribed fees across all categories, while persons living with disabilities will pay 25 per cent.

The party also released a detailed timetable. The sale of expression of interest forms runs from May 13 to May 18, with screening and interviews of aspirants scheduled for May 19 to 21. Nomination forms will go on sale immediately after screening, from May 21 to 23, and completed forms must be submitted by May 25.

Appeals arising from the screening will be heard on May 25 and 26, while primaries for various elective positions will take place on May 27 and 28. The presidential primary election is scheduled for May 29 in Abuja.

The NDC explained that state house of assembly aspirants will be screened in their respective states, while screening for National Assembly and presidential aspirants will be held at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja. Governorship primaries will be conducted at the local government level.

All aspirants will be required to sign undertakings in line with the party’s guidelines and code of conduct. The party said it would adopt an “open secret ballot” system for its primaries to ensure credibility, fairness and internal democracy.

The NDC reaffirmed its commitment to conducting transparent and credible primaries capable of producing competent candidates for the 2027 elections.
