NAF Foils Terrorist Attack, Kill Fleeing Insurgents In Borno

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has foiled a terrorist assault on troops’ location in Rann, Borno State and eliminated scores of fleeing insurgents.

NAF Spokesman, Air Cdre Ehimen Ejodame, in a statement said the air component of under Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) in the early hours of 8 August, 2025, foiled the attack through coordinated Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) and Air Interdiction (AI) missions.

According to the statement, the OPHK Air Component acting on credible intelligence established contact with ground forces, identified clusters of fleeing insurgents, and engaged the terrorists with precision munitions, neutralising several in the process.

Ejodame added that the swift and decisive action restored calm to the area, underscoring the NAF’s unwavering commitment to providing close air support, safeguarding troops, and rapidly neutralising insurgent threats.
