Kogi Gov Signs 7 Bills Into Law, Urges Public Support

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has signed seven bills into law, emphasizing the importance of the new laws for the progress of the state. The bills cover various areas, including the local government service commission, scholarship board, electricity market and regulatory commission, anti-corruption agency, commodity exchange, information technology development agency, and mineral resources development agency.

In a statement released by the Special Adviser on Media to the Governor, Ismaila Isah, Governor Ododo described the laws as “people’s laws” and reaffirmed his commitment to transparency, accountability, and the fear of God in his leadership.

Governor Ododo emphasized that these laws are crucial for the social and economic development of Kogi State, as they directly impact the lives of the people. He emphasized that no one is above the law under his administration and assured that the state’s resources will be utilized for the benefit of the people.

The Governor called on the people of the state, particularly those in positions of authority, to fully embrace the new laws and familiarize themselves with their provisions.
