In Kogi state, we have played a leading role for many years, while, before then we played a second fiddle in Benue state to the satisfaction of our great people of the now Kogi East.

No doubt about our roles in both appointive and elective positions in the past and present when equity prevails beyond the current dispensation .

Gone were the days when the then Benue state democratic and military dispensation appointed five commissioners, a deputy governor from the then Igala nation for balance and equity.

This also remind me of the days of Abdul rahman Abdullahi (Railway) fresh from the university became a Commisioner, like wise the late Rekiya Okpanachi, Silas Anibe , Augustine Akpala among many others.

In the maiden administration of Prince Abubakar Audu, as a first civilian Governor of Kogi State and Danladi Zakari as first Military administrator of Kogi state, there was a balance in appointments that covers the three senatorial zones ,as Danladi Zakari appointed all tribes in Kogi into his cabinet , including Late Prince Abubakar Audu, the rest is now history.

With the coming of Rt Honorable Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali, Halims,as the Deputy house Leader, House of Representatives, it is now realizable for the Igala nation to rely on elective positions rather than appointive ones in the current other.

Halims , a ranking member of the House of Representatives, former Chairman, House Committee on Steel development at inception has showed a lot of enthusiasm ,enability and sincerity to represent Kogi East.

Without mincing words , Halims rode easily back to victory in 2023 after excellent performance at the 9th Assembly, just like he did while he represented Ankpa I in the Kogi state Assembly, before he voluntarily left the position .

Very passionate , quite and a goal getter , his achievements in the 9th Assembly surpassed that of a serving member, senator in the National Assembly.

He doubled his actions and success story at the 10th Assembly as Deputy House Leader with unquantified contributions to the development of his people, through employment and job creation, empowerment and charity, so also capacity building, skill development, enterpreurship among many others.

Truth be told , The National Assembly is not for learners or early comers , while at the same time not for failures and non- performers , let us drop politics aside and now focus on the development of Igala nation.

Rt Honorable Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali, Halims has bridged the gap of underdevelopment, the idea of Igala nation not producing a governor on Kogi that left our people wallowing in abject poverty was no more.

The imagination of what Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali, Halims is doing in Ankpa Federal Constituency should be extended to Kogi East senatorial district for the betterment of Igala , Bassa nation.

Let us decide once and for all to pick Rt Honorable Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali, Halims as the next Senator representing Kogi East for more dividends of democracy and ranking .

Having spent over 15 Billion for Constituency projects and constituents in the last two years , heaven knows he will do better as Kogi East Senator .

If politics is about human development and advancement, then Rt Honorable Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali, Halims has scored it all and done it all .

A stich in time , saves nine .
