The PRO said that the amount was for the execution of projects under the SUBEB across the 34 local government areas of the state.

He stated that the funds would cater for the construction, rehabilitation, provisions of furniture, offices, stores, toilets, and water points across primary and junior secondary schools in the state.

Badaru-Jikwmshi added that two per cent  of the funds were allocated to quality assurance and agricultural education, while one per cent is for sports development in both primary and junior secondary schools in the state.

“The government has also released the sum of N1.77 billion in the 1st and 2nd quarters of its counterpart funding for matching grants for 2024, in which the processes of its implementation were in the pipeline.

“The leadership of Gov. Dikko Radda is poised to reposition the education sector, hence the need for the citizens to continue to support and cooperate with the government to bring positive developments to the state.” (NAN)
