The Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, has lauded the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) for its forward-thinking leadership in advancing data privacy across the nation. Speaking at the unveiling of the National Certification Programme for Data Protection Officers (DPOs) held at the e-Government Training Centre, PSIN, Abuja, the DG delivered a goodwill message that resonated with the core objectives of the initiative.

In his address, Inuwa congratulated the NDPC for its innovative strides in safeguarding citizens’ data rights and fostering responsible data management. He described the certification programme as a pivotal move towards strengthening Nigeria’s data protection framework and aligning with global best practices.
