Kaduna South MP Honoured As ‘Legislator Of The Year’ For Impactful Initiatives

Honourable Hussaini Abdulkarim Ahmed, the Kaduna South Federal Constituency Representative and Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Host Communities, has been named “Legislator of the Year” by Authentic News Daily for his exceptional representation and community-focused projects in Kaduna State.

The award, presented on [date not specified], recognises Ahmed’s efforts in addressing water scarcity through the procurement of a high-powered borehole drilling machine, empowering youth and women, funding tuition fees, offering overseas scholarships, and launching medical outreach programmes like “A gyara Ido”. His initiatives also include micro-business support and agricultural empowerment.

Sharifudeen Ibrahim Muhammad, Ahmed’s Special Assistant on Media and Communications, received the award on his behalf. Muhammad expressed gratitude to the organisers, stating, “This recognition reflects the quality and effectiveness of Hon. Ahmed’s representation.”

Dedicating the award to his constituents, Ahmed vowed to continue delivering projects in education, healthcare, and empowerment. His notable initiatives include providing free healthcare to over 5,000 people through “A gyara Ido”, constructing 26 solar-powered boreholes, and supporting agricultural employment, youth, and women’s empowerment.

Other award recipients included Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, and former Chief of Army Staff, Gen. Tukur Yusuf Buratai (rtd).
